I have heard that many Hindu temples were destroyed and converted in to mosque or makabara during moguls rule in India however nothing prove till date therefore we have to just listen and think about such possibilities. However before mugals, hinduism was there and hence i can see positivley for Taj mahal may was built over vedic temple. Other side I can not relay on Photographs only to believe this as Taj Mahal was mainly built by Hindu/rajput etc. workers and hence there is possibility that these worker use their art or ability/expertise to built Taj Mahal and before Shahjahan(Mugal empire) many rajput rulers were mixed with Akbar and hence we are finding rajput art in Taj Mahal outdoor corridor and other buildings.
Lastly History says every new ruler had tried to impose their religion to our country i.e. Aryan came and dravidian pushed into south India etc…. but hinduism is “”sanatan satya”.
Can’t say I don’t believe this . Truth can be found If they find more details . There are umpteen numbers of temples all over India which were targets , were destroyed .
